Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, improved precip bucket mount

Robert and I arrived at 10:45 PDT. It was sunny and warm but a cool breeze kept it mild for now. We had to go through two sheep gates on the way to the tower: they were blocking the first intersection southeast of the tower. The wetland looks mostly green and duckweed covered most of the water surface. The staff gauge read 67cm.

I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. I changed the eddy clock +45sec from 10:01:15 to 10:02 to match the laptop time and restarted logging afterwards. Robert cleaned flux and rad sensors and reported that the LWin sensor was dirty from birds. The wash reservoir was still full so we didn’t add any water.

At the last site visit we noticed the precip bucket post had slid down because the conduit straps were loose against the post. Today we worked on improving the installation. I had brought some hose clamps but they were actually too large for the 4x4 post. I found a slightly smaller conduit strap in the spare hardware bag which fit the post well. Robert removed the two old straps and put on the slightly smaller strap. It’s secure for now and I’ll bring another strap next time. I think it’s close to the same height as before—I can barely see into the funnel when standing on my tip toes on the boardwalk.

I trimmed back some of the tules growing over the precip bucket.

The 7500 read: 415ppm CO2, 644mmol/m3 H2O, 22.4C, 101.1kPa, 100SS – 101 after cleaning
The 7700 read: 2.0ppm CH4, 47RSSI -- 83 after cleaning
