Summary: power out due to popped GFI outlet - fixed, 12VDC supply didn't seem to be supplying power - removed for check and connected solar panels, moved solar base to Mayberry.

11/5/2010 I arrived about 8:30 with Jaclyn. It was cool with very little wind and thin high clouds. The grass was wet from heavy dew overnight. The field has been harvested and they are beginning to chop the rice straw. The ground sensors are still out of the field and the radiation boom is still swung to the north. AC power to our system was down due to a popped GFI outlet at the generator. After unplugging all equipment in our box I was able to reset the outlet and plug in our extension cord. At our box I plugged in things one at a time until all was running again. However the AC would not kick on its compressor since it was cold. Everything but the LGR and the computer continued to run on battery power. The 12VDC supply did not seem to be providing any power to the solar charge controller. So I hooked up the solar panels and they were supplying some power. After restart, the LGR read: 7:55PST, 11.77C, 142.49Torr, 16.031usec, 10Hz, 5.5 to 6.2ppm Jaclyn cleaned the radiation sensors. We retrieved the wooden solar panel base for use at Mayberry. Data not collected |
