I arrived at about 12:20 PDT. It was clear but hazy and relatively cool for this time of year. There was a little rain from a passing thunderstorm about a week ago but it didnâ€™t do more than pockmark the dust. The trees are definitely brown. I thought I might do leaf water potential one more time but it was hard to find twigs with green leaves. I probably could have found some on LiuKangâ€™s tree but it certainly would not have been representative of the area.

I collected the flux, met, camera and FD chamber data.
The Tower 7500 read: 411.8ppm CO2, 543.2mmol/m3 H2O, 98.5kPa, 22.9C, 103.4SS
The Floor 7500 read: 408.0ppm CO2, 538.8mmol/m3 H2O, 98.5kPa, 26.1C, 101.9SS

I measured the wells, DBH and Moisture Points. Here too there are two broken soil moisture rods. There are eight still working.

I serviced the zcams. The window on zcam-1 had come loose last time and I just laid it in place over the opening. This time is was shifted aside. I cleaned off the old silicone and re-glued it in place.

I changed the soil co2 23x program to stop reporting the Tree2 data since that soil co2 profile has been removed and was dead due to power loss before that.

There is some corrosion starting on the tower batteries again. Iâ€™ll try to clean it off and seal them again next time.

One of the JPL spectrometer was making a grinding noise. I opened the boxes and found them stuffed with acorns again. I cleaned out the acorns but itâ€™s possible one is jamming the rotating drum when it rotated down. JPL will be out in the next few weeks for maintenance.

I left at about 14:45 PDT
