Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, windy, removed extra sonic mount
| 2021-07-06 Sherman Wetland Carlos and I arrived at 10:50 PDT. It was clear and windy with great visibility of Mt. Diablo. The staff gauge read 96cm. Carlos scrubbed the staff gauge with a toothbrush but it needs more cleaning next time. We should also trim the tules growing up along the boardwalk because it is becoming the otter’s favorite bathroom. I downloaded met, cam, USB GHG, and miniDOT data. I changed the desiccant for the miniDOT and water level sensors. We topped off the wash reservoir. Carlos cleaned the flux and rad sensors, cleaning some spiderwebs off the sonic transducers. I also cleared some spiderwebs and dust off the outside and inside of the phenocam window. We removed the extra sonic mount that we had installed earlier this year for the sonic intercomparison because we need it for the upcoming advection setup at BA. We replaced the long bolt with a shorter bolt. There was no nut on the longer bolt; the bolt was in a threaded hole and held in place with a lock washer and a regular washer between the bolt head and the sonic plate. We used the same setup for the shorter bolt. LI-7500 readings: CO2 399ppm H2O 667ppm T 21.3C P 101.5kPa SS 99--> 101 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 1.97ppm RSSI 48--> 83 after cleaning We left at 11:30 PDT. |
