Summary: Added sun shied to FD west, pond lithium power pack okay, end of season clip plots.

I arrived at about 13:20 PST. It was clear sunny and hot with a nice breeze. There were some thunderheads to the northeast. There were a handful of cows hanging out in the shade of some of the trees near the gate. The water whole is just a mud puddle.

I measured the well and the two soil moisture profiles. I added a sun shield to the west FD chamber (the north one already has one). The sun shield is a split piece of pipe the fits around the body of the chamber and a mirrored Mylar hat that bolts to the guywire ring. I downloaded the FD data.

I collected the flux data â€“ this is the first batch since the upgrade to the new firmware. No issues noticed. I collected the met data and the phenocam images. I checked the radiometers and they were mostly clean.
The 7500 read: 419.7ppm CO2, 509.2mmol/m3, 99.5kPa, 32.6C, 109.9SS

I collected four clip plots for end of season biomass. I used the 40cmx40cm frame and took all plant material inside. I tried to choose representative spots that were not disturbed by gophers or recently trampling.

I went to the pond. Last time I swapped the SLA battery that was dying with a lithium power pack. The lithium power back was showing full charge on its indicator lights so I think itâ€™s working okay.
