Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, windy, many tractors around, our field might be planted already

Bouldin Corn

Mike and I arrived at 14:50 PDT. It was a windy, warm, and dusty day. This is our 7th week of sheltering in place, with at least 4 more weeks to go.

There were corn sprouts coming up on the fields on either side of the highway. There is tractor work on the field west of us, and the dust is blowing straight toward the tower. There are furrows in the field, so they may have planted already. Tyler has moved his chambers all the way back, but there is still about 4m of grass in front of our tower and under the radiometers. I took some videos and photos with a 360 camera.

I downloaded met, camera, USB GHG, PA, and the FD chamber. I cleared the FD chamber after the download. The reservoir was 20% empty; I refilled it. I cleaned flux and rad sensors. I checked the phenocam and eddy clocks; they both looked good.

LI-7500 readings:
CO2 394ppm
H2O 482ppm
T 25.0C
P 100.8kPa
SS 98-->101 after cleaning
LI7700 readings:
CH4 1.97ppm
RSSI 35-->85 after cleaning

We left at 15:15 PDT. Tyler is planning to come out on Monday to check the field and to see if they planted.

Weeds under radiometers that were not disked. We will have to move the tower into the field after they plant.
