Summary: Trees have leaves, ground still pretty dry, Soil CO2 system power problems - temporarily fixed.

Daphne and I arrived at about 10:00. It was clear sunny and warm. The trees have leaves! About half the trees have begun to put on leaves. We got a little bit of rain last weekend and things still look dry here but the grass may be a bit less yellow.

Daphne measured the well, collected the data and did the Moisture Point measurements. The soil co2 system had not collected data since I installed the FD chamber last week. I think it was too much for the little power converter and the system would brown out when the relay for the soil co2 probes kicked on. We moved the FD chamber power line to the eddy box but had to leave an ugly splice temporarily protected in a plastic bag. But both systems seemed to be working again.

The 7500 read: 414.8ppm CO2, 492.7mmol/m3 H2O, 99.2kPa, 16.6C, 97.1SS

I collected three clip plots and took spectral measurements. I forgot to do veg height but it hasnâ€™t grown up much yet - still 5 to 10cm.
