Summary: Standard fieldwork, dry and warm

Daphne and I arrived at 11:30. It was clear sunny and hot. The ground surface is dry â€“ no puddles in the road. The water hole is only about half full and the pond is not full. The grass still looks okay, maybe a little yellow tinge. There was a plume of dark smoke to the north â€“ probably someone burning yard wastes.

Daphne measured the well and collected the data. I did the soil moisture. The Moisture Point sensor near the tower is not working well. Itâ€™s possible that only the lowest level is reading correctly. I also collected spectra with the Jaz but using the old Ocean Optics fiber because I forgot to bring the Jaz fiber. I cleaned the radiometers.

We went to the pond. The stream from the pond was running. I donâ€™t remember if it was running last time, but this time we had a sedan making the water look more important.
