Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, tower leaning to the east, downloaded miniDOT
2019-07-25 East Pond Dennis, our visitor Josep Penuelas, Alex, and I arrived at 14:50. It was warm and sunny, with cirrus clouds. The wetland looks nice and green, and the harvested area looks mostly re-grown with early-stage growth. The water level was 75 cm. Alex noticed the tower was leaning to the east. There was a rather complete dead rat on the lower boardwalk that we relocated with the shovel and hoe. Dennis rinsed off the lower boardwalk with some water, as the decomposing rat was pretty stinky. I downloaded met, USB, and miniDOT data. I moved the water sensors (miniDOT and HOBO) up a few links so that they’re in the middle of the water column rather than near the bottom. I skipped the picam photos because the fluxalot laptop battery is limited. I also skipped the HOBO data because the fluxalot laptop did not have the HOBO software and I didn’t have my USB stick with the software. The wash reservoir was mostly full; we topped it off. Alex cleaned flux and rad sensors. We swapped miniDOT and water level sensors desiccant. LI-7500 readings: CO2 390ppm H2O 700ppm T 36.2C P 101.4kPa SS 112--> 113 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 2.18ppm RSSI 64--> 72 after cleaning We left at 15:30. |
