Summary: Regular Data Download. Some weed removal in radiometer footprint. CH4 sensor water intake tube kinked internally.
Arrived at 9:30am. Weather was sunny, with a light breeze and a layer of haze on the horizon. The inside of the tower enclosure was mowed down to stubble, which was probably done by Tyler on a recent visit. There were many cows in the field, although most were outside of the estimated daytime flux footprint. The lake to the Northwest had dried up, and the field looked well-grazed, except for the portion S/SW of the tower, which is usually outside the flux footprint. There were also many weeds directly under the radiometer, which was not representative of the field in general. We clipped the weeds down to a height similar to the grazed land, approximately 20cm. The methane sensor was reading a very low RSSI and the wash reservoir was full, and we found that the intake tube had been kinked inside the box. We fixed it, and it cleaned itself up to an RSSI of 51, before we cleaned it up to a final RSSI of 73. We downloaded the regular data. Daphne reset the game camera clock. We left the site at 10:20am. LI-7500 readings: CO2 420ppm H2O 705ppm T 24.3C P 101.3kPa SS 101--> 104 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 2.0ppm RSSI 11-->51-->73 after cleaning |
