Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, unplanned drydown, new CR1000 program
2019-01-03 West Pond Joe and I arrived at 12:15. It was cool and partly cloudy. The gravel roads are covered in short green grass. The inlet was off and the wetland looked pretty dry. The water level was 21 cm, and the soil/gunk surface was about 5-10 cm above the water (i.e., had to squish down the surface by 5-10 cm in order to read the water level on the staff gauge). The wash reservoir was ¼ empty and we refilled it. I downloaded met, camera, USB GHG, and miniDOT data. After downloaded data, I uploaded a new CR1000 program in order to save the corrected conductivity measurement to the met output tables. I left mothballs inside the met box. Joe cleaned the flux and rad sensors and the camera window. There was condensation inside the camera box—we’ll need to think of a way to reduce condensation b/c we lose ~1/2 our photos to haziness (paint the camera enclosure black? Install a small computer fan inside to keep the air moving?). LI-7500 readings: CO2 390ppm H2O 282ppm T 12.1C P 102.4kPa SS 82--> 82 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 2.3ppm RSSI 34--> (forgot to write after cleaning) We left at 12:35. |
