Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, no cows, 7700 blown and tilted, precip bucket did not record rain

Sherman Barn

Joe and I arrived at 9:03. It was cold with mostly clear skies but foggy to the east. The grass looks nice and green, and the shaded areas of the grass were still frosty. There are a few ponds in our footprint, but no cows.

I downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. The 7700 had been tilted, probably by the wind. The precip bucket funnel was on the ground by the tower, and there had been no precip recorded since the past visit.

I downloaded the game camera photos, although there doesn’t seem to have been cows here since our last visit. The wash reservoir was completely full. Joe cleaned the flux and rad sensors. The 4-way was slightly tilted in the north-south direction - Joe leveled it. I left mothballs inside the met box.

We tested the precipitation bucket sn 49187-109 with 475ml of water. The previous time, it was at 117 tips and adjusted 1 turn CCW. This time we got 118 tips and Joe adjusted it 3 turns CCW. We’ll need to test it again. The fence leading into the pasture also needs a new gate loop.

LI-7500 readings:
CO2 454ppm
H2O 339ppm
T 5.38C
P 102.8kPa
SS 103--> 104 after cleaning

LI7700 readings:
CH4 2.5ppm
RSSI 28--> 61 after cleaning

We left at 9:45.
