I arrived at about 11:30. The pond is very low and cows have destroyed all the vegetation around the edges. This is a maintenance trip.

I tested all the tipping buckets except for OSU SP3. At each location the bucketâ€™s cable was disconnected from the data logger and connected to a CR6 for the test. I cleaned the tipper and then dribbled 475ml of water into the bucket. This should result in 100 tips.

A half turn of the set screws in the bottom of the tipper should result in 2-3% change. I should probably retest all of them next time out.

The focus on the FLIR camera has been bad for some time. The LattePanda was running and I poked around the FLIR a little to see if I could fix the focus remotely. There is a service menu that has a focus page but it is password protected. I ended up having to use the FLIR Research IR software at the top of the tower. From there it was a simple process to connect to the camera, Camera-Control, focus tab and finally press the auto button.

I also took a bunch of readings with the Nikon range finder.

I added small split loom to the exposed wires of the radiometers â€“ all are still in good shape.

I checked on the small tree IRT system â€“ it has been losing power over night. The battery seemed fully charged but I initially didnâ€™t get a voltage on the charger controller battery terminals. After wiggling around the wires a bit I got a voltage on the charge controller. We will see if that fixes the problem next week.

When I left, cows were wandering through paying little attention to the fences. I think most of them are broken but I donâ€™t see much point in fixing them until I feel comfortable putting the electricity back on.
