Summary: Maintenance trip to swap broken IRGA, update met program, add power control for phenocam ethernet switch, tested tipping bucket.

I arrived at 10:10. This is a maintenance trip.

I set up to test the tipping bucket sn 24875-999. The bucketâ€™s cable was disconnected from the CR1000 P1 and connected to a CR6 for the test. I cleaned the tipper and then dribbled 475ml of water into the bucket. This should result in 100 tips. I got 78 tips. A half turn of the set screws in the bottom of the tipper should result in 2-3% change. I screwed in the set screws three full turns â€“ about +18 tips. I should probably retest it next time out.

I swapped the 7500 â€“ sn 0065 came off and sn 0418 went on. 0065 still had no values for CO2, H2O or SS. After uploading the config, setting the pressure coefficients and restarting the box,
0418 read: 422.0ppm CO2, 190.5mmol/m3 H2O, 99.5kPa, 28.6C, 94.8SS
H2O is pretty low but I thought it was reasonable at the time.

I collected the CR1000 met data and changed the program to remove the instructions for the Decagon SRS NDVI sensors that are no longer present. I also added a solid state switch connected to C8 which was already programed for sunrise and sunset. The switch controls the Ethernet switch so we should only get photos during daylight.

I added small split loom to the exposed radiometer wires. The two PAR cables are very rotten and should probably be swapped out.
