Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, dropped SD card reader in mud
| 2018-06-28 West Pond We arrived at 11:15. It was clear, sunny, and warm. They had mowed the road between the gravel road and the EE road. The water level seems a bit higher—the water sensors are submerged again, but there isn’t much standing water visible around the tower and by the platform. We forgot to check if the inlet was running. I collected met and USB data (reusing the same USB stick). Sam cleaned the flux and rad sensors. I dropped the SD card reader in the mud, and wiped it off and waited a few minutes for it to dry off. I was able to collect some photos (~24 hours’ worth of photos) from the camera card, but then the laptop no longer recognized the SD card reader as a USB device. The camera card still had most of its photos on it, and we put it back in the camera, so there will be a lot of photos on the card next time we download it. The wash reservoir was mostly full; we refilled it. LI-7500 readings: CO2 389ppm H2O 583ppm T 24.6C P 101.3kPa SS 100.3 --> 102 after cleaning LI7700 readings CH4 1.94ppm RSSI 46ppm --> 73ppm after cleaning We left at 11:35. |
