Bouldin Alfalfa

We arrived at 13:50. It was clear, sunny, and warm. We drove in from the barn and the road is very dusty. The alfalfa has been grazed, along with our wash box cables. Weâ€™ll need to trim the tower alfalfa next time.

Joe fixed the wash box cables. He temporarily connected the power cable together with a screw terminal, and weâ€™ll need to bring a new wash box power cable next time so we can repair the broken one in the lab. The spin and fluid pump both work. We checked the wash box level but I donâ€™t know what it was.

I collected met, camera, and USB GHG data. Alex cleaned the EC and rad sensors and used silicone to repair the met datalogger box gasket.

Tim collected vegetation height measurements. Sam collected biomass samples (clip plots). I tried to take LAI data but I need to replace the wand batteries.

LI-7500 readings:
CO2 390 ppm
H2O 402 ppm
T 17.7 C
P 102.1 kPa
SS 98--> 107 after cleaning

LI7700 readings:
CH4 2.0 ppm
RSSI 8.3 --> 83 after cleaning

We left at 13:50.
