Summary: Calibrated North soil CO2 profile, grass growing the FD chamber collars - pulled, powered Phenocam continuously and reset clock.

I arrived with Siyan at about 10am. It was clear, sunny and cool with almost no wind. There was thin fog in the Delta and dew on the grass here. The road is dry but the ground is still somewhat damp maybe from the dew.

I worked on calibrating the North CO2 profile with zero air. I downloaded the soil co2 data then uploaded a new program that starts recoding 10sec samples when flag 8 is set high. The new program also include four new TCs on the AM 16/32. These were put inside the tubes of the East profile. These TC ends are at about the middle of the CO2 sensor path on roughly the north side of the tube.

We checked inside the FD chambers collars to see if grass had sprouted there. The West location had lots of green grass and herb sprouts. The North location only had a few and the East had a medium amount. We pulled out all the sprouts and reset the chambers.

Siyan did all the data collection and standard fieldwork.

The Phenocam had lost its clock about a week ago. I disconnected its power relay at the tower and wired it directly to the 12V bus so it is now continuously powered. When the Phenocam clock read 2000-01-06 10:02 I reset it to 2017-12-14 11:10
