I arrived at about 9:30 with Siyan. It was clear, sunny, warm and dry with little to no wind. The water hole is completely dry. The trees donâ€™t look too bad.

Siyan did the standard fieldwork while I worked on the soil CO2 system. We went to the pond while some of the Vaisala probes calibrated. We collected the pond data. The water level is lower than last summer I think: 13.64ft.

I uploaded a new program to the soil CO2 CR10X and adjusted the wiring to match. The new program cleans up some of the mess of switching from three sets of three Vaisala to two sets of Four. I disconnected TC 7 and moved TC 8 and 9 to TC 7 and 8. I still need to double check the cables and add correct labels. I also added a voltage divider with multiplier of 4.038 between the AM16/32 and the CR10X.

I calibrated the Vaisala CO2 probes with the portable calibration box. It used a CR6 (2113) and one of the new Eosense 1% CO2 probes (GP20160127). I did the east set first and then the north set. I had to upload a version of the program that turns on and reads the probes continuously at 2sec intervals and saves 10sec averages.

After the calibration runs I put the probes back and reloaded the regular program.

There might have been a bug in the program where the Eosense temperature storage locations were not getting incremented, but they were mostly out of range anyway. This is fixed in the new program. Eosense number 2 looks a little low. I added split loom to the individual Eosense cable near the probes.
