Summary: Swapped batteries on the Floor solar system, check settings on Tower and Floor Licor GHG systems, removed bottom three HMP45s of CO2 profile system
Tonzi 2017-06-01 I arrived about 1pm with Daphne. It was clear sunny and warm. The grass is very brown now. Green grass and cows around the pound. I worked on the Floor battery bank sn BB-TF. The system was at about 12V with 13A incoming and 1.2A load. I disconnected all seven batteries and load tested them. Three were very weak, two dipped a little under load but still in the green and two were rock solid. I replaced the three weak ones and the two that dipped under load with four batteries we brought from the old Twitchell Rice solar system. The Twitchell batteries may not be much better than the two that dipped under load but they have been charging for a long time. Afterwards the system was at 13.1V with 13A incoming and 1.2A load. Daphne checked that the Floor eddy system rebooted okay after the power interruption. The 7500 read: 401.6ppm CO2, 742.7mmol/m3 H2O, 28.9C, 99.03kPa Daphne also checked on the Tower eddy system where the W signal is too large. The LI7500 settings seemed okay. It’s hard to tell because the current Licor software doesn’t show that information correctly, but putting in the correct values did not change the output. We connected to the sonic with Hyperterminal and could see that the digital values of W looked okay. We got the sonic configuration but I did not know the commands to check or set the individual analog output channel settings. The current sonic configuration is: M1 Message format UVW U1 Units m/s O1 ASCII format CSV L1 Line terminator P8 Output rate 20Hz B4 Baud rate 19200 H1 Power on message enabled NQ Unit ID Q E1 Communications RS232/483 Auto T4 Analog output -5V to 5V S1 Analog output range 5m/s – may not be used C2 Polar direction wrapping 360 – not used A2 Output SOS I1 Analog inputs off J2 Resolution high V1 PRT off X1 U axis aligned to north spar G0 Averaging disabled K50 Minimum direction velocity 50mm/s – not used We also removed the three lowest HMP45s that were located next to the CO2 profile inlets. At least one has not been working and all need to be compared against each other for drift. The bottom one was sn U3030041, lower middle one was sn T1250012, and the higher middle one was sn T2130005. |
