Sherman Wetland: 2017-03-08 13:30:00 (DOY 67)
Author: Daphne Szutu
Others: Joe Verfaillie
Summary: Reconnected camera, regular cleaning, collected USB GHG data
2017-03-08 Sherman Wetland We arrived at 13:30. The weather was sunny and breezy with thin clouds. You can see the Sierras in the distance (the snowpack looks like low clouds on the horizon). The water was a little lower than last time; the top half of the Eosense CO2 probe was exposed above the water. Joe plugged in the camera and the time on the camera was Dec 31 2013. Joe synched the clock and connected the camera, datalogger, and Licor to an Ethernet switch. The camera is now powered 24/7 (to keep the clock at the correct time), and the Ethernet switch turns on at sunrise and turns off at sunset. In the future, we'll need to bring an Ethernet cable to connect laptop and switch to download and view data. I cleaned the radiation and EC sensors and the camera box window. I collected the USB GHG data but not the met data. There was no camera data to collect, but there should be next time. LI7500 readings: CO2 401.07 umol/mol H2O 513.7 mmol/m3 T 17.3 Celsius P 102.8 kPa SS 97.1 -> 97.5 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4: 1.96 RSSI: 67.2 -> 75.4 after cleaning There were a few ants in the box. We left them a couple of mothballs. We left around 14:15. |
