Summary: Added to batteries to solar system, fixed loose connection?

I arrived about 8:15 with Siyan. It was cool and hazy with little to no breeze. There was a light dew on the cattails.

This was a quick stop to add a couple batteries to the solar system. I added the two batteries recently removed from Alfalfa. These two batteries had Jan 2012 stickers and tested okay in the lab. I charged them up in the lab before taken them to the field. The other batteries at East End also had Jan 2012 stickers and I think the two I added were originally at this tower.

In adding the batteries I also discovered that the spade connector on the negative lead to the charge controller seemed loose. I think wiggling it caused a low voltage disconnect. I cut the connector off and connected the wire directly to the batteries.

I checked that the eddy system was running and restarted the camera before we left.

There was still otter poop on the boardwalk. I left the boardwalk tilted on edge to discourage future deposits.

I also noted that the eastern half of our alfalfa field seems to have been mowed and baled.
