Summary: Power line cut and repaired, inlet not running but water level fine
| West Pond 2015-02-05 I arrived about 1:30 with Sara. The fog has lifted and it is warm with overcast skies and little to no wind. We noticed on the way in to Twitchell Island that they seemed to be grading the levees around the ponds. Sure enough, they hit our power line (yesterday) and cut it. In the process, the charge controller was pulled out of the battery box and disconnected from the batteries. The tower was without power for about a day, but we were able to patch it back together. I should redo the conduit. The 7700 read: 2.17ppm CH4, 1.5RSSI – after cleaning 68.5 RSSI The wash box was dry. There might have been several leaks in the tubing near the reservoir box. I cut out the bad section of tubing and reattached it to the box. The 7500 read: 418.8ppm CO2, 570.2mmol/m3 H2O, 83.3SS, 14.71C, 101.04kPa Water level was fine but the inlet was not running. Sara collected water samples. |
