Sherman Island: 2014-09-18 09:00:00 (DOY 261)
Author: Joe Verfaillie
Others: Patty

Summary: Standard fieldwork and data collection, computer had crashed again.

Sherman
2014-09-18

I arrived about 9:00am with Patty. It was warm, humid and still with scattered clouds. The Bay Area was getting some light rain overnight and this morning. Here it looked like there might have been some light rain, but the ground and road surface was largely dry with only the low spots a little damp. The fields may have been irrigated though. There were puddles in the field to the east and water in the low spot under the bridge. There is the heaviest growth of lambs quarters that I have seen in the field.

I took care of the tower and downloaded data.
The 7500 read: 16.8mmol/m3 CO2, 832mmol/m3 H2O, 101.2kPa, 27.5C, 248diag
The LGR read: 9:25, 23.26C, 138.6Torr, 14.7C, 10Hz, 2.039ppm – pressure adjusted to 144.4Torr

The computer had crashed again. It may be time to deal with this.

Patty did veg height, well depth and moisture point.

Veg Height (cm): Tape measure from ground to top of plant
54, 50, 30, 64, 30, 57, 70, 80, 60, 70, 70, 80, 60, 60, 60, 25, 50, 40, 50, 60, avg = 56, stdev = 15.5
