Summary: Installed 7500 & 7550. Needs u-bolt and temp sensor. Verified Forerunner CO2 probe roll-over above 5V. Corrected clock settings on 7700.
West Pond 2014-09-08 Patty and I arrived about 16:20 PDT. It was warm, sunny, and windy. We installed a 7500 (sn 2180) and 7550 (sn WP-0666). We didn’t have a U-bolt to attach it to the rail so we zip-tied it. Also didn’t have the temperature sensor. Will install next time. After install all readings looked good. The 7700 clock was reading 1 hour ahead and was in US/Pacific time. I bumped the clock back 1 hour and changed the time to Etc/GMT +8. The Forerunner CO2 probe was reading 474 mV, which was much lower than the ~5000 mV we have been seeing. I pulled it from the water and watched the mV decline to 0 then jump to 5000 mV and continue declining. Now we know for sure that the jumps in the readings are the measurement rolling over in excess of 5000 mV. I replaced the sensor. 7500 readings: CO2 = 16.0 mmol m-3 H2O = 610 mmol m-3 signal strength = 95.04% p = 100.6 kPa t = N/A sos = 347.8 m s-1 7700 readings: CH4 = 1.95 ppm RSSI = 69% Reservoir full. Met looked good. |
