Twitchell Rice
2014-09-04

I arrived about 1:15 with Patty. It was clear, sunny and warm with a light breeze from the west. The field is drained and the rice is yellow with seed in most places. Automatic propane canons are set up in a couple of places to scare birds.

Patty did LAI, veg height, and clip plots.
I did spectra, and serviced the tower.

The 7700 read: 1.98ppm, 45.6 RSSI – 73.6 after cleaning.
I tested the auto spray cleaning system and it worked well.

The 7500 read: 390ppm CO2, 678mmol/m3 H2O, 94.9SS, 100.99kPa, 29.12C

The 23x clock was behind by 17min. I reset it from 12:20 to 12:37. The 7550 clock was okay.

The camera had only 65 images. It looks like there might have been an overnight drop out in the data systems at a later date. Time to swap out the battery bank.

Veg Height (cm): Tape measure from ground to top of plant - seeding heavily
