Twitchell Rice: 2010-08-11 11:30:00 (DOY 223)
Author: Jaclyn Hatala
Others: JoeV

Twitchell: Arrived around 11:30am, cool temperatures and still a strong breeze from the S/SW. Rice looks like it's doing well, although Jim expressed concern about it being cold for the past week or so. LAI is huge now (mean was 11), and average height was 53cm. Average water depth was 15.5cm, and Jim said that they're going to try to bring the level down a bit and then hold it steady for the rest of the summer (it's been a little variable up until now). The water level instrument looks like it's finally reading the accurate level of the field, so it seems like drilling more holes last time worked. Also took spectral reflectance measurements and 5 biomass clip plots here.
