Summary: Cleared grass about the cow fence.
| Vaira 2014-07-02 I arrived about 12:30. It was clear sunny and hot. The purpose of this trip is to cut the grass around the enclosure as requested by the Vaira family due to fears of fire. I rented an Echo SRM-266 weed eater with plastic blades from Berkeley Rentals for $54.32 for the day. I made two laps around the outside of the cow fence clearing about 10 feet. Then I made one lap around the inside of the fence and around the solar panels clearing about 5 feet. There was no grass touching the cow fence when I was ready to leave, but there don't seem to be any cows either so I left the fence powered off. It will be interesting to see changes in the reflected radiation and Phenocam images. I also copied the met data that got missed last week. |
