Summary: Standard field work. Soil co2 sensors need reinstall. Grass is tall.

Vaira 2014-05-22 I arrived about 8:15am. It was clear, sunny and warm with a very light breeze from the east shifting around to the north. The grass is really tall between waist and shoulder high (100 to 140cm) and thick. The water hole is till full of water. I did the moisture point readings. I did the spectral measurements with the tripod at max height to get above the grass. I saved a global dark file, but only the sample spectra where saved in incoming and reflected pairs. At the end I fussed with the settings so that the dark and scope files were saved as well. I downloaded the Phenocam photos from the computer. I forgot to reinstall the serial port drivers on the white netbook, but I was able to use the other netbook to collect data from the data loggers. I cleaned bird droppings out of the tipping bucket. There was a bit of water in the tipper. The soil CO2 probes in the west and north sets are very loose in the ground. We should try to reset these this summer.
