Summary: Cleaned panels, instruments, filled wash reservoir, checked wire connections.
| DWR Corn 2013-10-24 I arrived about 11:30. It was a clear, sunny and cool day with a strong breeze from the west. I drove to the tower on the new berms and was completely coated in dust. I cleaned the solar panels and refilled the wash reservoir it was not empty yet. The RSSI was 21 and climbed to 76 after cleaning. We saw some noise in the power and analog channels the last couple weeks. I checked and tighten and the power and data connection. The only connection that was a bit loose was a connection to a multiplexor. The camera was powered. I cleaned the HMP60. The outside was very dirty, but internally it looked okay. I talked to Jim and Bruce. They are almost done with the new wetland. They are still finishing up the contouring and will have equipment on the berms again later. If we can pick a tower location off a berm or island they can build a little path to it as long as it doesnt cross a swale. |
