I arrived at about 10:15PDT with Siyan. It was clear, sunny and hot with a light breeze. Trees here show more brown and yellow leaves than at Varia. Tonzis pond is as low as I have ever seen it.

Siyan did the standard field work including midday water potential.

I collected all the data.

I serviced the z-cams. The windows were pretty dirty. I check and reset the camera clocks. This required un-mounting and remounting the cameras. Camera #1 was 7min behind when its clock read 9:33PST, I reset it to 9:40PST. Camera #2 was 4min ahead when its clock read 9:36PST, I reset it to 9:32PST. Camera #3 was 1min ahead when its clock read 10:37PST, I reset it to 10:36PST.

I plugged the serial cable into the Li-820 and did the calibration. Last cal was 2013-06-19, T=52.2, P=94.5, N2 tank at 1750psi, 404.02ppm CO2 tank at 1250psi. The zero was off +1.5ppm the span was right on. I think there is still a mismatch of the DAC output range on the LI820 and the input channels on the data logger. I need to check these settings.

The radiometers at the tower top were clean. The HMP45 fans were running.

When I swapped the cards on the CR1000s, I updated the EC program. Because of the sonic driven structure of the program the data logger was dividing the available card memory evenly between the slow and fast data. The new version forces the data logger to allocate only 3285 rows (~68days) to the slow data and the rest of the card (~40 million rows = 46 days) to the fast data.

At the Floor site the CR1000 card module would not eject the card. Pressing the white button did not give a green light to eject the card. I ended up pulling the power before ejecting the card. The data files were corrupted but recoverable.

I also restarted the Floor PC because winflux stopped responding while I was working on the computer. All was well on restart.

Tram looked good. Soil CO2 was okay.
