Summary: Pepperweed weedy. Regular field work. Computer had been off for about a week and was hard to start again. Swapped out the 7500. All else well.

We arrived about 09:30 PDT. It was sunny, breezy, and warming nicely, about 16 C. The pepperweed is growing like a weed. Outside the fence the plants are about 0.5 m high.

Sara made soil respiration, spectral, LAI, moisture point, and well depth measurements while I did tower maintenance and swapped out the 7500.

The computer inside the big wooden box was off when I arrived and from the MET data looked to have been off since the 21st. It took a bit of coaxing to get it started again but eventually I got it running. Not really sure what the issue is but I have had trouble with it before so we may want to consider having a replacement handy. I downloaded all available MET and SoilCO2 data to files so that data could be parsed later.

LGR readings: 1.92 ppm, 21.5 C, 126.3 Torr (adjusted to 149 Torr), 16.82 us, 10 Hz

I removed 7500 box and head s/n 0041 and installed s/n 0035
7500 readings before swap (s/n 0041):
CO2: 16.4 mmol m-3
H2O: 590 mmol m-3
diag: 248
sos = 342 m s-1
p = 102.3 kPa

7500 readings after swap (s/n 0035):
CO2: 16.8 mmol m-3
H2O: 590 mmol m-3
diag: 247

MET looked good.
Soil CO2 looked good.
