Summary: Reinstalled ground sensors, standard field work.
Twitchell 2013-04-11 I arrived about 11:15 with Laurie. It was clear and mild with a stiff wind from the northwest. The field is dry and planted. We put the ground sensors back in the ground. One of the soil temp sticks is cracked but went in okay. Two SHF plates went in. The well went in with the top 17 cm above the ground and with water at 78cm below the top of the pipe the sensor read 0.45psi. The sensor was already mounted inside the pipe and I did not change its position so it should be similar to last time. The CS615 TRD probe that got hit by the tractor went back into the ground after I straightened its tines by hand. The other CS615 had been chewed on and will need to have its cable spliced. I brought it in and long with a few other idle cables. I rotated the radiation boom back out over the field. The 7700 read 1.85ppm CH4 with an RSSI of 29 that rose to 67 after cleaning. The 7500 read: 395ppm CO2, 366mmol/m3 H2O, 19.9AGC, 24.01C, 101.60kPa I topped off the 7700 wash reservoir. |
