2013-04-10 I arrived about 9am with Siyan. It was warm, clear and sunny with little to no breeze. The grass and trees are so green and there are lots of flowers. The puddles in the road and the water hole are full again. The ground is damp just below the surface. I would say the trees are about 80% leafed out. The grass seems healthier than last time and maybe twice as tall. We had a good view of the sierras on the way up. I downloaded data from all the data loggers. All looked good. I removed the card from the CR1000 and then uploaded a new program to the CR1000. The new program uses the sonic clock to drive the program and will hopefully loose less data due to clock synchronization. After the new program was running I inserted a new card. I pulled the weeds at the base of the solar panels. I might put the bottom of the solar panels up on blocks to get them out to the dirt and weeds. I cleaned the radiometers and the phenocam window. Siyan pulled all the grass over the peltier soil heat flux profile leaving the ground bare. She also did the standard field work. |
