Summary: Quick check of WP and DC, a look at the alfalfa fields.

West pond
2013-04-05

I arrived about 2pm PDT. It was mild with scattered clouds and a nice breeze from the west. The ponds still look very brown compared to Mayberry. The water was flowing at the inlets.

I cleaned inside camera window where some bugs had left marks on the glass.

The tower looked fine with the 7700 reporting 1.87ppm CH4 and an RSSI of 52.5. I did not clean the mirrors.

I took a quick look at the Corn tower and all seemed in order there.

I looked at the alfalfa fields to the north of the ponds along the levee road. There is a north-south ditch in the middle of the field that we might be able to use to protect a tower from the farm work. However there is access to the levee road through gates at either end of the field. There are some more fields to the east that might be more secure.
