Summary: Checked tower, installed tule CO2 probe, folks at the duck camp.
| Mayberry 2013-04-05 I arrived about 12:00PDT. It was mild with scattered clouds and a good breeze from the west. In general the wetland still looks brown, but it is greening up from the bottom quickly. The tules seem to be greener than the cattails. The weeds on the levees have doubled in size in the last week. Goats are ready to work on main levee along the Mayberry slough. There were a bunch of folks at duck camp maybe enjoying spring break. Sebastien, Stephen and Dave came over for a quick look before returning to their setup tasks at Sherman. Dave and Sebastien were impressed with the bird viewing opportunities. The tower looked okay with the 7700 reporting 1.909ppm CH4 with an RSSI of 56.7. I did not clean mirrors. There were wasps in wash box which I knocked out again. The was reservoir was full. I cleaned the window on the autocam. I went out to the Tule Tower to install a new CO2 probe in the Tules. No problems installing the probe and it had normal looking readings. I cleaned the other sensors. We need to bring some Q-tips to clean the IRT sensors next time. |
