Summary: Water reservoir leaking--temporarily fixed with electrical tape. SWout channel reading consistent zero.
We arrived at ~3:30pm. The weather was mild & sunny, with haze beginning to build on the horizon. The staff gauge read 50cm. I passed my test of being able to download all of the data & images from the site. We cleaned sensors as normal, and refilled the water reservoir, which had sprung a leak by the in-line filter. This was temporarily fixed with electrical tape. Although the last time we "temporarily" fixed the filter was May 2023, so that fix lasted almost 2 years. I noticed that the SWout channel has been reading zero consistently, probably a wiring or programming issue. Our computer died while trying to diagnose and repair the issue, so it will have to wait until next time. Joe pointed out that we should be able to fill the channel with a relationship with PARout for this period. We downloaded the miniDOT data and swapped the water level sensor and miniDOT desiccant. We measured surface water conducitivity. Surface, 783uS, 6.0C Daphne checked the conductivity sensor orifice as part of its routine quarterly check and confirmed the orifice was clear. The 7500 read: 419ppm CO2, 343mmol/m3 H2O, 16.1C, 101.9kPa, 86SS--95 after cleaning The 7700 read: 2.1ppm CH4, 34RSSI—76 after cleaning We left at ~4:20pm. |
