Summary: Standard data collection, traced wires looking for Theta soil moisture probes.

I arrived at about 14:50 PDT. It was clear, sunny, hot and dry with a little breeze. More leaves on the trees here than Tonzi but that’s normal. Little change from three weeks ago.

I measured the well, collected fluxes, met, FD and camera data. All looked well. The 7500 SS was pretty high.
The 7500 read: 416.6ppm CO2, 535.0mmol/m3 H2O, 38.1C, 99.4kPa, 107.2SS
After cleaning: 429.9ppm CO2, 494.9mmol/m3 H2O, 37.2C, 99.4kPa, 110.9SS

I dug up a bunch of the wires around the soil sensor box. I found four of the five Theta probes. The tops of two sensors were at the surface and the tops of the other two were about 10cm below the surface. They all seem to be installed at an angle. The fifth cable ran under the two boardwalks in front of the met box. The tines are 14-20cm below the tops of the sensors so the depths of these measurements are about 14-20cm and 24-30cm.

I brought some PVC conduit from Tonzi but will need to take everything apart to run the wires through the pipes. In the process I also pulled up and bunch of power a data lines that should also be put in conduit.

I left at 16:00 PDT.
