Bouldin Corn: 2022-07-14 09:55:00 (DOY 195)
Author: Daphne Szutu
Others: Carlos, Kanishka
Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, corn is super tall with tassels and small cobs, camera photos incomplete--changed NL115 and CF card, reinstalled FD chamber, veg height, zcams
2022-07-14 Bouldin Corn Carlos, Kanishka, and I arrived at 9:55 PDT. This was Kanishka's first visit to the Delta sites. It was a warm, clear day with a slight breeze. The corn is >2m tall, with tassels (male flowers) and small cobs with silks. The first field you pass coming off the highway used to have wheat. Today there are new plants coming up, probably corn. Carlos and Kanishka cleaned flux and rad sensors and measured veg height. I downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. I downloaded the PA data and cycled its power. I downloaded the IRT data by swapping the microSD card and using CardConvert to convert the fast data to TOB1 and the slow data to TOA5. The camera card seems like it had its full set of photos, but again the bottom 1/3-1/2 of the photos was a solid block of grey pixels. The NL115 LED was red on arrival. I inserted a blank 16GB card and the LED turned off. The Stardot connected fine through its webpage so I logged in through telnet and ran phenocam_upload.sh. The script ran but it seemed much slower than usual on other cameras. It was also slower than usual for me to download the photo through LoggerNet File Control. Again, the bottom 1/2 of the photo was gray. I decided to replaced the NL115 and put in a brand new 32GB card. NL115 sn 6761 came off and NL115 sn 13056 went on. I again ran phenocam_upload.sh and the new 323GB card had good RGB and IR photos. I changed the phenocam clock +1min to match the laptop time. I downloaded the zcam data, cleared its memory, and swapped out its desiccant. I didn't have any more dry medium-sized packs so I just dumped in about 5 mini packs. I installed the FD chamber sn FD20180067 between rows. It's in the same location from where it was removed, one row west of the zcam. I connected to the FD chamber to confirm that it was running. I meant to check the 7700 fuse but I forgot. The 7500 read: 397ppm CO2, 788mmol/m3 H2O, 25.9C, 101.2kPa, 100SS (after cleaning?) The 7700 read: 1.96ppm CH4, 35RSSI – 81 after cleaning We left at 11:05 PDT. |
