Summary: Standard data collection, Landsat overpass ground measurements - maybe clouds, all seemed well.

Main Tower
Carlos and I arrived at about 11:15 PDT. The alfalfa is about knee high. A high thin overcast was just burning off and Carlos had to decide if it was going to be clear enough for the Landsat overpass at 11:40. He decide to do the ground truth measurements just in case. Otherwise it was warm and breezy.

While Carlos did his measurements I collected data from the Main Tower. I collected GHG files, Met (30min and 5min), Swapped the CF card with photos and 10sec data. I got super confused by the round FD data connector outside the box and didn’t realize it was left over from when there were two FD chambers here. The live FD data line is a DB9 connector inside the box. I retrieved the IRT micro SD card and moved its files to the laptop as TOA5 and TOB1 before returning the card to the data logger and checked to see that it mounted correctly. I swapped the CF card on the ADEX CR1000, copied the data to the laptop with CardConvert as TOB1 files and made sure the new card mounted ok.
The 7500 read: 380.0ppm CO2, 791mmol/m3 H2O, 19.7C, 101.5kPa, 93.1SS
After cleaning: 414.7ppm CO2, 591.0mmol/m3 H2O, 100.7SS
The wash reservoir was full – no 7700 here now – Duh!

I jammed a tube fitting into the scaffolding clamp holding the 6m post to the upper railing to make it more secure.

Bouncer Tower
We arrived at about 12:16 PDT. Carlos did Spectra and veg height here. I collected the GHG files, the 30min data from the CR23x, Swapped the micro SD card on the CR6 and copied the 10sec and 20Hz data to the laptop with CardConvert as TOB1 files. Carlos cleaned the 7500 and net radiometer.
The 7500 read: 406.4ppm CO2, 555.4mmol/m3 H2O, 20.5C, 101.6kPa, 97.4SS – 99.2 after cleaning.

I think the micro USB port on the CR6 is shot. But, I set up an IP port in Logger net and was able to connect to the CR6 directly with Ethernet – no cross over cable needed.

Edge Tower
We arrived at about 12:47 PDT. I collected the GHG files, the 30min data from the CR23x, Swapped the micro SD card on the CR6 and copied the 10sec and 20Hz data to the laptop with CardConvert as TOB1 files. Carlos cleaned the 7500; the net radiometer looked clean.
The 7500 read: 393.0ppm CO2, 764.2mmol/m3 H2O, 21.5C, 101.5kPa, 98.2SS
After Cleaning: 412.2ppm CO2, 570.8mmol/m3 H2O, 102.1SS

There is a ramp out of the field near the edge tower so you don’t have to drive back across the field. We left at about 13:15 PDT.
