I arrived at about 11am PST. It was sunny and warm with a breath of breeze from the south. There were a few high thin clouds. No rain since early January and some of the hills on the way up have brown looking spots. In this area, surface water is still plentiful and only bare soil looks dry. Cows are still keeping the grass at only a few centimeters in height. Inside the fences it’s more like 10 to 20cm tall.

I added the cal kit to the radiation tower. I made some new mounts that I hoped would make it easier to get things on the tower. One I didn’t need, one needed to be modified and the other was just okay – so maybe more work needed.

I replaced the sun hat on the north FD chamber – it is now plastic but 6in in diameter instead of 7in like the old cardboard ones. Instead of putting a whole in it for the cable I tilted it at an angle which seems ok.

I checked on the serial numbers of the SHF plates and Theta probes. I was going to check their locations but that’s going to take a lot of effort. Maybe better to do during the dry season so as to not disturb the growing plants.

I did spectral measurements, but did not go to the pond. I measured the well. I collected Met, Flux, camera, and FD data. All seemed well.
The 7500 read: 427.1ppm CO2, 371.7mmol/m3 H2O, 100.3kPa, 22.0C, 99.9SS

I left at about 13:30
