Joe and I arrived around 12:00 PDT. It was sunny and warm, but breezy once you climbed above the canopy. Our goal today was to move the tower back from the field in preparation for harvest. The fields to our south and east have been harvested, but the fields to our north and west are mostly still standing.

Joe removed the 4 tiedowns (2 fence posts and 2 ground anchors). Tyler had installed our soil sensors under the tower, which all looked good except for the FD chamber because its membranes on the side were covered when theyâ€™re designed to be exposed to the atmosphere. We should probably ignore the FD chamber data from 2021-09-09 to todayâ€™s visit. I removed the soil sensors and tied them up to the tower. We knocked down some of the weeds in our way and moved the tower back from the field about 1.5m. Hopefully the farmer can harvest right up the first corn row.

Joe reinstalled the tiedowns and I put the soil sensors back in the soil. I set up the FD chamber and ground rod under the tower again. The water level sensor and well did not need to be moved.

Joe reinstalled the post with the PL Arables a bit north of the tower, about 1/2m from the edge of the field.

I downloaded the met data and checked the GHG data (but didnâ€™t download it). I didnâ€™t see any more mux sensor weirdness. All seemed well after the move.

Joe changed the batteries on the 2 Arable game cams.

Back in the lab, I uploaded the most recent FD data to see what times the data was affected by the bad installation. I then deleted the following FD data from the database: 2021-09-09 10:30 to 2021-09-15 11:30. The raw data is still on the DataPC.
