Summary: Removed miniDOT buried in mud, changed internal battery for Canon camera

Ari and I arrived around 11:00. This was just a quick stop. It was a mild and sunny day with a cool breeze. The staff gauge read 43 cm.

Ari put on waders and went into the wetland to removed miniDOT sn 931528 which had been buried in the mud since late May 2020. She also removed the sipper system just north of the tower for potential future sampling of hotspots at Sherman Wetland.

I downloaded met, camera, and GHG data. The wash reservoir was mostly full.

The eosGP data looks better since the last site visit. Maybe there is some loose wiring that I need to check for next time.

The Canon camera here has been having some issues with dark photos in the afternoon and at the last site visit it had lost its clock. I swapped the internal battery for the site's Canon PowerShot A480. I removed the CR1220 and put in a new CR1225. The batteries are the same diameter (12mm) but the new one is slightly thicker (2.5mm thick instead of 2.0mm thick). Joe thinks it will make a better connection because he had a batch of CR1220s that died quickly. I reset the camera's clock.

I used the 7700 spray/spin functions to clean the 7700 lower mirror. The RSSI improved from 43 to 72.

We left at 11:40 to join Joe at Sherman Wetland temp tower, where he was disassembling the scaffolding before moving it ti Hill Slough.
