Summary: Swapped out the old Arable Mark I for a new Mark II

I arrived at about 15:00. It was mild and overcast â€“ rain is coming tomorrow. The gate was closed but the lock was not latched. The number on the lock did not match the one Daphne reported previously.

This was a quick stop to swap out the old Arable Mark I unit for a new Mark II: sn A001359 came off and sn C006123 went on. The Mark IIâ€™s have a different power connector than the Mark Iâ€™s and here the Mark I was soldered to a power line from the data logger box. I cut this line and attached the new power connector temporarily with a screw terminal. Maybe itâ€™s better to use the little solar panels that Arable provides. Also the data logger box could use a new power strip with more plugs.

The new Mark II had all green lights but the older Mark II had an amber light for it sensor status.

I left at about 15:40.
