Summary: Regular monthly porewater collection

Joe, Daphne and I arrived at West Pond at 9:21 am. They dropped me off on their way to Tonzi.

It was a sunny day with a light breeze. The wetland was dry and there was no standing water anywhere except within the structure of the riser weirs (about 50 cm of water). Therefore, I mostly collected porewaters across the footprint (tower, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9). The water table depth was below -20 cm at the tower and 0.5 footprint, while it was below -30 cm at the 0.7 and 0.9 locations.

Porewater readings averaged:
Conductivity: 660 uS
Salinity: 0.3 ppt
pH: 6

The water inlet has been closed permanently for the last 3 months. I opened it for a few minutes at the end of the day (2:04 pm), to get a water sample for the "river" endmember.

I used sippers to collect the porewaters, however SedPoints2 will be installed in March/April at the tower, 0.5, 0.7, 0.8 and 0.9 footprint.
