Summary: Surface water sampling and checked water level at the outlets

Daphne and Camilo dropped me at WP at 9.27 am, they were going to Bouldin for leaf level measurements. It was a warm sunny day with very little wind.

The aim of my visit was to sample surface waters across the footprint, inlet and outlets for water chemistry analysis of DIC, DOC, nutrients and dissolved CH4. However, WP was again dry and standing water was present only at the tower, inlet and outlet areas. Soils were exposed along the footprint area.

I took water samples and pH, T, and conductivity measurements at the three standing water patches. Measurements at the tower read:
pH: 6.58
TÂº: 14.9 ÂºC
Temp. balanced Cond: 636 uS

The water was 31 cm below the top of the boards at the east outlet. Water level downstream was 38 cm. In the west outlet, water was 25 cm and 32 cm below the top of the boards upstream and downstream, respectively.
