Siyan and I arrive at about 11:30. It was sunny and hot with a breeze from the south swinging around to the southwest. The grass is brown and crispy but there are a few flowers left. We met Rob on the way out. He said the neighborâ€™s barn to the south burned down the other day. We also got the locks on the gate sorted out again â€“ our lock is in the second spot now.

I collected the flux data and tower data including the FLIR. All the FLIR images were on the USB stick drive and look good. I also collected the FLIR IRT data â€“ those programs still need work.

I installed an Arable Mark I sn A000251 at the top of the Tower. Itâ€™s on a post extending to the east of the southeast corner of the tower. Itâ€™s difficult to reach and the folding radiation boom my not clear it when folding. So, it needs a better mount. I need to figure out how to mount the Arable devices on the side of the square tube the radiation booms use. Its solar panel is mounted nearby with cable ties. This needs to be replaced with a power line connected to the Towerâ€™s system.

Siyan did the standard fieldwork including midday water potential.

I brought in three more of the tram tripods for use as a secondary tower at BA and maybe for Arianeâ€™s soil coring.

I serviced the z-cams. Z-cam 1 had a blob of bird poop center stage so some of its images will be bad.

The soilco2 data seems to be losing power at night and the CR1000 IRT system lost a couple over nights too.
