Summary: Reinstalled Floor IRGA, Fixes Floor well cable, undated file names on Tower computer, brought in fence charger from Floor solar panel fence.

I arrived at about 9:30. It was clear, sunny and warm with a nice cool breeze. A new, keyed lock was in the position that our broken combo lock used to occupy. I put a new combo lock (same combo) on the gate out of the way and left a message on Robâ€™s phone trying to explain what happened.

The grass is less brown here than at Vaira but still turning brown fast.

I installed a fresh Licor box sn AIU-0666 and head sn 75H-2514 on the Floor tower. I was missing the metal plates on the box for mounting so I borrowed one from the Tower Licor box. We need two plates next time. The eddy data looked okay. The sonic analog channels were showing default settings but I downloaded the configuration and the settings were correct there. This is a known issue.

Cows had chewed on the cable to the Floor well some more. It looked like it was still functioning but I fixed it. There was some extra length in the box so I cut off the chewed section then ran the cable through small PVC pipe before reconnecting it in the junction box at the well. The wire colors get swapped around in the junction box. There is still some exposed cable across the concrete well pad that I tried to hide with a downed branch.

I updated data logger file names on the Tower LattePanda to be more standardized. All seemed to be working well there. I wanted to install the Licor 7500 software on the Latte Panda but I didnâ€™t have it with me and we need an Ethernet switch with more ports to connect the 7500. The mouse buttons on the keyboard were not working again â€“ maybe swap the keyboard to see if thatâ€™s the problem.

I pulled some weeds that were beginning to encroach on the bottom edge of the FLIR cal panel.

I removed the fence charger and battery on the fence around the Floor solar panels since we are not using it any more. I also brought in the fire extinguisher there since its gauge was no longer in the green.
