Summary: Swap sonic and install serial line and software. Problems galore.
| When: Thurs, 7 Oct04 Where: Tonzi Ranch Who: Ted Hehn Weather Clear and warm Tonzi Ranch: 7Oct04 Install new 100’ RS232 line on sonic. Install Norhtec Multiclient PC. Remove sonic sn 000022. Install sonic sn 000023 tested to spec 11Nov03 by Gill Instruments. Sonic sn 000023 worked intermittently and then failed. Begin diagnostics on sonic- Open connector on base of sonic – no visible faults Leave connector open and connect to sonic – intermittent failure. Check power at power box – 12.1 volt Remove #23 and reinstall #22. #22 works fine. Install #23 failure. Install #22 works fine Note: tower site LI7500 IRGA water channel is at 4.0 volts and co2 is at 1.1 Multiclient has operating system error starting up: explorer32.exe error. Delete file and all seems well. Restart Multiclient and gillsonic initiates and is responding. |
