Summary: Continue troubleshooting sonic connection, removed new serial software, fixed watch dog.
| When: Thurs, 8 Oct04 Where: Tonzi Ranch Who: Ted Hehn Weather Clear and warm Tonzi Ranch: 8Oct04 Arrive and Multiclient/gillsonic is locked up. Begin diagnostics: Reboot PC and Gillsonic starts fine. Reboot and receive error message: 16 Bit Msdos subsystem window; the system cannot open com 1 port requested by the application choose close to terminate the application. Reboot PC and Gillsonic starts fine. Reboot and receive error message: 16 Bit Msdos subsystem window; the system cannot open com 1 port requested by the application choose close to terminate the application. Reboot and receive error message: 16 Bit Msdos subsystem window; the system cannot open com 1 port requested by the application choose close to terminate the application. Use Hyperterminal to access com port 1 and receive error message: Another program is using the selected telephoney device try again after the other program completes. Use Device Manager to disable com port 1 and then to enable it. Gill sonic is then able to access the port. Reboot and receive error message: 16 Bit Msdos subsystem window; the system cannot open com 1 port requested by the application choose close to terminate the application. Remove Multiclient and reinstall Calvin. Watchdog timer fails test. Begin diagnostics and find intermittent connection – this would explain the 10 day loss of data a 1-2 weeks ago.
