Sherman
9/1/2009

Arrived about 8am with Jaclyn and Oliver. Came in the back way. Sunny, clear, light wind, cool. Pepperweed and others look to have some new growth.

Everything is running – LGR was at 1Hz from last week after pump swap and reinstall of analyzer. Bumped back up to 10Hz.

Copyied and archived data and swapped CR1000 card.

No connection to soil moisture (Ben’s) CR10X. Terminals in the battery were corroded and lost connection. Cleaned up a bit and got it running again but need to do a better job next time. Watch out for widow in battery box.

Maybe some strong wind in the last week – a bit of pepperweed flower was caught in the stand for the LGR intake just down wind of the sonic. Also the solar panel on the ground powering soil moisture CR10x had fallen over.

Forgot to bring spray for wasp nest near gate – next time.

Kite test – a little more wind would be better.
